Accident & Health insurance through unions and communities

In case of damage or loss

  • In case emergency assistance is required, dial the emergency number 112.
  • In case of suspected crime, call the police (10022) and file a police report.
  • In case You require medical attention, You may freely choose between public and private health care centers.

Please note that an insurance card is not a credit card. Invoices cannot be sent directly to Chartis Finland without prior consent. In cases of minor costs, the insured must first meet these costs themselves before subsequently applying for indemnity from Chartis Finland. For medical treatment expenses incurred in Finland, the insured should apply for compensation under the Finnish Health Insurance Act. Such compensation can be applied for when paying the incurred expenses at the medical center.

In order to speed up settling your claim, please enclose the following documentation:

  • a duly dated and signed physcian's certificate
  • the original receipts for treatment and medication costs
  • police reports (if available)
  • witness statements (if available)
  • in case of death: death certificate

In case additional information is required, Chartis Finland will request this information in writing.
