Contractors Operations and Professional Services (COPS)

The Contractors Operations and Professional Services (COPS) policy provides broad protection for full-service environmental firms performing field operations and professional services. It combines Contractors Pollution Liability (on a claims-made or occurrence basis) and Errors and Omissions policies in one package, helping to eliminate potential coverage gaps and overlaps. COPS also enhances cost-efficiencies by avoiding multiple premiums and deductibles.

Blends two coverage parts - Pollution Legal Liability and Professional Liability - in one form
Provides limits up to $25 million
Assists in meeting governmental requirements for contractors working on National Priorities List sites, state-listed sites and government sites
Eliminates the payment of two minimum premiums and deductibles
Ideal for multi-discipline firms who provide environmental engineering and consulting along with contracting operations. Coverage for non-environmental services is offered as well
Provides coverage for services performed worldwide, except for embargoed countries

Coverage available for work at Superfund Sites, DOE, DOD and EPA sites
Includes coverage for the insured’s liability for services or contracting operations performed by others on its behalf
Broad reporting provision for potential claims or incidents if reported during the policy period
Expanded coverage available for: transportation, non-owned disposal site, microbial matter, terrorism
Project-specific policies available for contractor/engineering controlled programs
Project increase limits available on blanket policy for contracts requiring higher limits
