Inclusive Crisis Management

It takes great skill handling a sudden crisis, like a major factory accident or the high profile recall of a product from sale. The most sensitive time is at the beginning as word first gets out. And the more devastating the event, the more that the media, your customers, suppliers and staff and the police will want to find out what’s going on.
That’s why we provide our liability insurance customers with the additional benefit of professional crisis communications consultancy, advice and coaching.
Whether it’s reassuring staff and customers or being interviewed the news, we want to help our customers come across well, communicating their message clearly, quickly and professionally. Our long experience settling liability claims has shown us that when a business is in crisis, its management comes under the spotlight too.
But disasters are by nature exceptional and even the most talented management team may not experienced a similar crisis before. It is easy to see how, with management focused on immediate problems, ill-timed or inconsistent communication could make a bad situation worse.
Chartis liability insurance policies provide for up to £100,000 of professional crisis communication expertise for 30 days after a crisis.
Included within Chartis motor fleet, employers’, public and products liability insurance policies.
