The statistics for male and female cancers are alarming. Between 1994 and 2001, an average of 20,523 cancer cases was registered each year. The commonest cancer by far was non-melanoma skin cancer (29% of all malignant cancers). If non-melanoma skin cancer is excluded, the commonest cancer in women was breast cancer (28% of all malignant cancers) and the commonest cancer in men was prostate cancer (21%). The Cancer Insurance Plan provides the right kind of financial support to make a genuine difference. Following the diagnosis of a cancer coved under our policy, financial support begins at once, allowing staff to concentrate on recovery without worrying about money. On diagnosis, our Cancer Insurance Plan provides an immediate cash payment, followed by income payments during treatment, with additional payments after surgery related to the cancer and during hospitalisation. Our Cancer Insurance Plans also provide you with emotional and practical support through our independent advisory care service. Under our plans you can receive up to €64,000 in cash benefits which are tax free (under current legislation) and yours to spend as you wish.
The Cancer Insurance Plan is offered through our direct sales force and through worksite marketing to businesses with over 50 employees as a compliment to the traditional benefits package or use it to extend benefits to sections of the workforce who have not previously been covered. There are low monthly premiums starting from €4.30 per month and guaranteed acceptance in to the plan provided you are between 18 and 74 and are living in the Republic of Ireland. There is no need to fill out lengthy questionnaires or go for medical examinations.
The staff pay for their own cover, and can be informed of the benefits and features of our product though individual briefings with our Benefit Representatives. Premiums are collected by direct debit and all administration is undertaken by Chartis in Ireland.
Scope and terms are subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.
