Private Collections

• Cash Settlement Option - You have the option to receive a cash settlement in lieu of replacing your lost or damaged property.
   
• Newly Acquired Items – If you have purchased any items and have not advised us, we will provide automatic coverage up to specified limits for specified periods. This gives you a grace period, so that you do not have to worry that your new items are not covered.
  
• Market Appreciation for Private Collections - If the valuation is less than 12 months old at the commencement of your policy, we provide cover for the current market value appreciation (subject to limits). This helps protect you against market volatility.
  
• Defective Title for Private Collections - We cover you for up to specified limits of the sum insured for the Private Collections category under which the item is insured, whichever is the lesser, for an item if you are subsequently required by law to relinquish possession. We compensate you if you have inadvertently purchased an item that is stolen or encumbered.
