  • Medical Case Management

    • When we are notified about a workplace injury or illness one of our case managers will review it. The earlier we do this the better because many conditions respond very well to immediate treatment.

The case manager supports sick and injured employees by coordinating medical services, liaising with insurers, lawyers, GPs, consultants and keeping the patient informed.

Depending on the condition the case manager may organise private consultations, specialist treatments, second opinions or complementary therapies.

In some cases the case manager may be satisfied with the NHS treatment, in which case they will carefully monitor both the treatment and recovery process.

The case manager also provides emergency assistance to people involved in major traumatic events such as emergency counselling, or other forms of support and treatment to those involved or affected by the event.

All this happens regardless of who is eventually found liable for the injury or illness. This means treatment and recovery can proceed quickly, unhindered by questions about who is at fault – reducing expensive and time consuming legal activity
  • Vocational Consultancy

    • People don’t always return to work following successfulmedical intervention.

Our Vocational Consultants enhance the recovery process by providing a comprehensive vocational assessment, coupled with a detailed job analysis, ensuring that employment opportunities are entirely appropriate to the individual’s needs.

Our Vocational Consultants play a crucial role in liaising with employers: we may suggest that equipment needs modifying, duties need amending, or retraining may be necessary, so that the employees may be re-integrated back into work or suitable alternative employment, in line with the company’s needs.

Some injuries and illnesses may prevent a person from returning to work for the same employer, or even to the same industry. In these circumstances our Vocational Consultants have achieved some of ourmost imaginative and dramatic successes: exploring employees’
ambitions, restoring confidence and self esteem, often retraining and facilitating new careers in completely new industries.
